Fire Company Now Utilizing “I Am Responding” Computer System

Your Williams Township Fire Company No. 1 has installed the latest technology to assist with responding to incidents.

The “I Am Responding” computer system lets those arriving the fire station know immediately who is responding to the call, where they are responding (Fire Station or scene), and when they will be responding. This saves critical time, and reduces response times. It will eliminate waiting for members who are not on their way, and prevent us from leaving the station just as others are coming around the corner. We will know immediately if we have a full crew on the way, or if we need to page for additional personnel or mutual aid. All this information is displayed on a large monitor located in the fire engine bay.

Both fire stations, Morgan Hill and Raubsville are equipped with the system. The hardware, computers and large display monitors were provided by resident donations and a $750 Wal-Mart grant.

Your Williams Township Fire Company No. 1 is an all volunteer, donation funded fire company.

Accepting a $750 grant check from WalMart are (left to right): Alan Maskell, FF/Fire Police Captain, Jay Paolini, FF/Lieutenant and far right Mike Mattes, Fire Police. Third from left is Nicole, Rt. 248 Walmart store manager.
